      Entretien

I had an interview with TriQuest that I found deeply unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. From the very beginning, the tone was combative and condescending — when the Teams meeting link I was sent didn’t direct me to the meeting, I was met with sarcasm rather than patience: "Well, that's strange, because it worked fine for me." Throughout the conversation, the interviewer — who I later learned is one of the company’s owners — was openly argumentative and confrontational with me, challenging every answer I gave. She criticized me for not filling out a pre-interview career history form exactly how she wanted, snapping, "That's why I sent the form, for you to answer all of the questions." She repeatedly pressed me to label my prior role as a “Level 1 or Level 2” even after I clarified that it didn't fit that structure, and responded with clear condescension when I spoke about my professional values and career goals: "Well that could be a teacher." When I asked reasonable questions about the position, such as what ticketing system TriQuest uses, I was told, “I’m not going to give you that information. They all work the same.” That is simply not how professional IT organizations operate, and no reputable IT company I have ever worked for or interviewed with has refused to answer such a basic question. Later, when I asked about the team size and client base, she quipped, "Well we're hiring more people..." then abruptly added, “You’re more of a Tier 1, not a Tier 2, and we don’t have anything for you.” Being turned down for a role is understandable; being spoken to with open condescension and that level of disrespect in an interview is not. This was the most unprofessional interview I’ve ever experienced in my career, and it reflects extremely poorly on TriQuest’s leadership and culture. I cannot imagine how current employees or other prospective candidates are treated. I hope TriQuest takes this feedback seriously, because the way candidates are treated during the hiring process says far more about a company than any job description ever could. Her conduct was deliberate and dehumanizing. Look elsewhere if you are considering a job here.
