I had a short Skype interview which included questions on my background, and a short case to solve. Nothing much. Then had a 1-hour interview with one of Toptal's product managers, which included a longer case to solve and questions on my previous work.
The feedback on the interview was that I had not been specific enough on solving the case. A bit strange because the interviewer did not drill down in any of the points with specific questions.
I had an interview with a recruiter as part of the hiring process. The conversation included specific questions related to the role and my previous experience. The interview was structured and focused on assessing my fit for the position and understanding my background in similar tasks.

The process was very comprehensive, and the interviewers were very good at what they were doing. The first phase is quite easy, but when it comes to the later stages that's where the weeding comes out. Overall a challenging interview.
Recruiter kept me well informed throughout the process. They also provided documents about the company and benefits which was appreciative. You’re also expected to take an assessment during the process.
