(Real fun begins..)
7 round of onsite interviews.
Most of the senior interviewers were great. One of the technical interviewer carried a big ego in the interview and was the worst amongst all the interviewers. Finally, he ended up having a big say in the panel and cited un-obvious reasons to fail me.
One final observation, for principal engineer level - they had software engineers interviewing the candidate - I wish I flagged this initially and didn't attend the interview but recommend others to not make this mistake. You get interviewed by people either at or above the level you are interviewing for..

Applied online, after a few days screening with HR was done then with hiring manager. It went smoothly. Then the technical round was scheduled, they informed me the exercise will be based on restaurant based software usecases.

To design a system to allow users to be able to do a reservation at a restaurant. They told me you are the CTO and whatever you say will be done., the software needed is MVP.

Entretien
HR called and set up initial screen. Hiring manager had made up his mind then. Scheduled 6+ more hours of interviews. Some of the panel members were very professional and personable. Others were uninterested. Overall neutral experience.
HR phone call. Initial screening. Next interview potentially with Product Owner. Then after these two, technical interviews with team members. A long process to be sure. Could stand to trim down so that the hiring effort does not take several weeks.
