Too many red flags in the recruitment process :")
1. Was called for an interview session 3 months after I applied (some people think it's normal, I think it's way too long)
HR Phone interview was so-so, HR was friendly and gave informations about the position I'm applying for.
Got an e-mail for the next round of interview (User interview) a week after where I found another red flags.
2. User didn't give any introduction about the position I'm applying for and just went to asking questions
3. User was "trying" (or how it seems to me) to get insights on the company I'm working at right now by asking the KPIs used, which I think was totally normal.
4. However, when I answered the question, the user keeps "forcing" me to gave more answers than what I already told her, which made me feel pressured and uncomfortable during the interview since I already told her everything
5. User was not friendly at all, not helpful in letting me know about the position I applied for and didn't answer any questions I asked
6. User didn't ask me any situational based question/case study, which I think was very essential for the position I'm applying for and also to know about my analytical thinking and problem solving ability. She also seemed "uninterested" in knowing my personality as a person
After the user interview, I went back to the HR to ask about my recruitment process. However...
7. The HR took 1 week to reply to my message, plus I had to follow up 3 times just to get a rejection (LOL), saying that I had no knowledge in the industry. I mean, how could I tell my knowledge if the user didn't even gave me a chance during the interview? (another LOL)
8. I messaged another HR, but they didn't reply to my message at all up until now.
However, I still think that TikTok is a very good company to work at (+ they have very competitive salary even for interns) and I've seen my friends who works there and have a positive experience and became a full time employee with a high position after a year, I just don't think that it's for me and wouldn't be applying for another position in the near future :)
