      Entretien

      I received a LinkedIn InMail from an InviteManager recruiter. I'm always open to hearing about new roles, and, at the time, wasn't feeling challenged enough at my current job, so I agreed to move forward with a conversation. I only communicated with the recruiter and did not speak with anyone else on the team. A big source of frustration and confusion for me was that it was unclear what type of role I was being considered for. I wasn't provided with a job description in writing, and the positions/descriptions listed on the website and LinkedIn didn't match what the recruiter was sharing with me. When I inquired about the org structure, promotional path/timeline and other roles, answers seemed a bit vague and inconsistent. This seemed to cause tension in communication with the recruiter and myself (lots of back and forth, etc.). To sum things up, I wasn't thrilled by my InviteManager interview experience. Perhaps there would have been more clarity had I met with the hiring team, but my time is valuable, and I didn't want to take any time away from work to interview for a role with an unclear job description. When the conversation ended, it was clear there wasn't a match on either side.

      Thanks for your feedback and taking the time to speak with one of our recruiters back in August. We have 3 levels of positions in sales that are clearly defined, however, often times a candidates experience with another company may not align exactly with how we are structured. Companies have different structures and value different skills. The initial call with a recruiter is an exploratory call where we see if your interests, ambitions and experience align with what we are looking for and can provide. Sometimes things are not crystal clear after 30-45 mins. Regardless, it sounds like there was not a good fit this time. Thanks again for taking the time to speak with us.
