      Entretien

The Controller (hiring manager) reached out to me via email for initial interview. He then emailed me with changes to the interview that he would not be able to attend, but set up interview for me to meet with 2 other people on the team. He said these would be people that I would be working with. The interview went well with both team members, especially the ladder interview. She was super personable and friendly. I heard back from Controller to set up interview with him maybe a week later. The interview seemed to have gone well and he said he would be making a decision by end of week. I didn’t hear anything by end of week. I reached out for status and heard nothing . I was extremely surprised at the disregard and unprofessionalism. But I shouldn’t be too surprised for the following reasons. One of the team members said he worked with the Controller before, so of course that hire was a no brainer. Now the 2nd team member that was super friendly said she had not worked full time in a while and this Controller gave her a chance….how amazing…I have not had any breaks on my resume and have tons of knowledge and experience , have used all of the systems they are implementing but this same person ghosted me? But here is the kicker…I am a person of color…this person, department or company may not be ready for diversity and inclusion, unless maybe you know someone personally. I just don’t like my time wasted meeting multiple people, sharing my knowledge and ideas , and not even receive a letter of rejection.
