J'ai passé un entretien chez Thermo Fisher Scientific
Entretien
I applied online for a position in Houston, TX and was contacted by the recruiter within a few days. The recruiter was nice and always quick to respond to any questions I had. I had a phone interview with recruiter followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager also gave me a written assignment on processes which was easy provided if one understands what exactly they are looking for. In another 2 weeks I was called in for face to face interview. It was 4 hour long interview with skills test, meeting with manager and meeting with peers. During this interview I got an impression and things were not organized at this location as 5 different members of the team came in one by one to talk to me. 3 out of 5 of them asked me same questions every time. They were reading these questions from a paper, If there were 10 questions to be asked I would’ve divided all 10 of them amongst the 5 employees so it does not seem like the department is not prepared at all for the interview. On top of that they asked me questions like doesn’t my current employer have anything open for me within the system to apply? Another one of them asked me where am I in my job search and how many offers am I considering at this point? All in all I did not get a good feeling about the work environment and the work atmosphere at this location during my interview. I did not feel like sending any thank you letters after my interview which I have in the past and that was it. I was not offered a position which was a blessing in disguise in my opinion. Total process from start to face to face interview was about 2 months.
