First round was a simple phone HR interview talking about my experience - went reasonably well. Second round was a phone technical interview - this is where things went bad. Firstly, the audio quality was very bad and the guy had a heavy accent which didn't help. But the biggest problem was that it wasn't even what I'd call an interview as there was no ask of my technical expertise and experience. Instead it was just a run through of basic Java questions. I did not remember the correct answer to one question about Thread States hence why I got no offer. However it is something easily googled and not reflective of my real world skills. Nothing about the "interview" even tried to capture my experience and broad knowledge. Overall a poorly conducted interview and a complete waste of time!
