First you meet with a recruiter, if they like you they coordinate meeting with the director of the location where you will work. The recruiters give you language to repeat in your director interview that make it much easier.

I applied online and someone from HR contacted me a week later to schedule a phone screen/interview. The interview lasted for about 20 minutes and asked pretty general questions. I asked about next steps and they said they'd follow up after three weeks. After three weeks passed, I reached out to them and they said they had filled the position but would like to keep my resume on file for future openings. Overall it was a positive experience, however I do think they should do the courtesy of letting people know that they will not move forward in the process.
