The process was a bit unprofessional in my opinion. I’ve applied to this company before and been rejected for positions that I am more than qualified for. I finally get a response about a position. I applied for two days prior and we schedule an interview which ends up going really well. During the interview, I can tell that the recruiters happy with what she’s hearing, and I’m a good candidate, but as soon as she asked me when I can start my answer somehow all professionalism and courtesy when I tell her that I have a vacation coming up in mid May. She assures me that I’ll be passed along to the hiring managers and she’d be in touch with updates For me to reach out. I receive a follow up email about the next steps and asked to reach out with questions, which I did. I asked two legitimate questions about the job itself and didn’t get a response. I called with the same questions got a voicemail , left a message, never got a response. The next day, I get an email indicating I don’t have the right qualifications and that they keep me in mind… Which we all know means nothing. I tried calling the recruiter again to dig into this a little bit met with because she never seems to be in the office. My question is, if you’re just gonna reject me for being honest and not being available at the drop of a hat when you need me to and no way should impact the next steps, why do you send me an email indicating that it’s my fault for not being qualified? Why did you reach out to me to begin with if you didn’t see that I had the qualifications? Insult me and my time by trying to indicate that I’m lacking in some skill set because I couldn’t provide you with the immediate gratification that you think you deserve? I find it highly questionable, insulting and inconsiderate overall and I now realize it was a blessing to not hear back if this is how they treat people. Probably a mass hire and fire type of organization
