Very poor experience with The Connor Group. I was contacted by this company after submitting an application via LinkedIn. The job posting showed that it was two days old. My initial call with The Connor Group was the day after my submission. The call went well and I was scheduled for an interview a few days later. The video interview went, and I expected to hear back about next steps after being told that I would hear back by the end of the week. I sent thank you emails to both my scheduler and interviewer. As I did not hear back by the end of the week, I followed up on Monday with my interviewer. I heard nothing. I received a call two days later from another person at The Connor Group with whom I had previously interacted for less than a minute to ensure a proper connection with video streaming for my interview. He informed me that they would not be moving forward with my application as there was another candidate whom they felt was a better fit and he was further along in the interview process. I asked him for more specific feedback as all of my answers paraphrased and even quoted comments made by Larry Connor himself. I also told him that I was never informed of such a candidate and that it seemed strange as the position had been posted on LinkedIn less than two weeks prior to his call. He then informed me that the person had already started at The Connor Group. My response was that he had changed his story as he just said there was a candidate further along in the interview process. I informed him that this was extremely unprofessional and difficult to believe as my interview had occurred just over a week ago. I find it impossible to believe that during that time an offer had been extended and negotiated with a background check being conducted and relocation occurring for this candidate. This is the second and last time I have interviewed with this company. Ironically, the first time included being ghosted by multiple people there including a person who is responding to the negative critiques here.
