      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 8 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez The Cigna Group (Windsor, CT) en août 2013

      Entretien

Applied online. Was called for an initial phone interview, then was told I made it to round 2 which included Cigna paying to have me flown out on site for an in person interview with seven individuals. The phone interview was as to be expected, nothing difficult, just a lot of inquiry about experience and past history. For the onsite interview, Cigna covered the cost of flight up front, but I had to pay for hotel and incidental expenses and submit a reimbursement request after the trip. The onsite interview was interesting. They split up the interview like this: 2:1, 1:1, 1:1, 2:1, 1:1. Most everyone was very nice and accommodating during the process. There weren't any difficult questions per se, but one of the interviewers must have Googled "interview questions for designers" as a I did before the interview because she had every single question I was prepared for and in the same order I found them. Not very original, but whatever. There was one individual that in my opinion made it his goal to make my personal experience completely insignificant in every regard. He tried to throw out different terms for simple items like "assets" (i.e. graphics) to sound smart I suppose. Or maybe they call these items silly names to feel special, I don't know. Either way, I came away from the interview not wanting the job after interviewing with him. What's the point in leaving one job in corporate America working with ego driven IT individuals for another? Upon my return back home, I emailed the hiring manager and asked to be taken out of the running for the position although it was a difficult decision as the manager would have been great to work for, as would working with a few of the individuals I interviewed with.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

"What do you know about asset creation?" Seriously, just call them what they are, GRAPHICS.
