I initially had a call with the hiring manager, who asked me to complete a task at home that I later presented in person at their office. Subsequently, I was invited back for a final round of interviews, including one with the CEO and another with two employees. While most of the questions were standard, I was asked, "Who do you live with?" which was very inappropriate. Despite following up multiple times after the final interview, I received no response for two weeks. When they finally got back to me, I was informed that I had not been successful, with only generic feedback provided. Overall, as many others before have mentioned, the interview process for this role was poor.

I was initially approached by a recruiter for this role, and after discussions and sharing my CV she said I sounded like a great fit. I was excited by the company's mission and focus on healthTech. However, after waiting to hear back and eventually chasing, I learned Thalmos would not be continuing with my application. They gave no feedback, and the recruiter could not give me any explanation. I was suitably qualified for the role, so I requested feedback on their decision. To date I have received none. Whilst I understand at the screening stage the company owes applicants very little, and they have every right to reject applicants, I felt this was a disappointing way to handle candidates who are interested in your company and match the job description requirements very closely. Overall a poor recruitment experience that gave me insight into their working culture (backed up by other reviews below). I am not surprised they are yet to fill this role (since writing it has been live since March 2024).

Applied via Otta and was responded to in a decent time for a first round interview. The interview did not offer much in the way of context and the employee with whom I interviewed did not seem to provide much in the way of structure. I was unsure of the requirements for going into this interview. The interviewer also quite clearly insinuated that 5 days in office was preferred, despite the role being advertised as hybrid. I waited about 2 weeks to hear anything from the interview, at which point I sent multiple emails to the 'hiring team' which were unanswered for some time. Eventually, I received what looked to be an automated message saying that I had been put through to the next round, which would be the presentation of a task ideally in their office, which I accepted. The task itself was vague. The task asked candidates to provide 'an approach' to designing an application to digitise a form. There was no formal requirement to present the task a certain way and the scope of the work was insinuated to be minimal (i.e., 1-2 hours work). When presenting the task in office however, it seemed like the team members at Thalamos wanted a lot more than what had been scoped as '1-2' hours work. Interestingly, having hired product managers myself, this felt like a junior product designer interview, not a PM interview. The interview was pleasant enough, if not a little unstructured. Once again, I waited over two weeks to hear any response at all from this second stage, in-person interview. I emailed to check in on the process to then find out I had not been put through. Overall a really poorly managed interview experience.
