      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Tesla (San Jose, CA) en déc. 2018

      Entretien

Absolutely BAD! It all started with a phone call 3 months back where I was told it is immediate opening and we will be closing the process in a couple of weeks. Then, there is this shake-up (according to the recruiter) and its a delay. Anyhow got my first screening done and really good feedback from manager and thanks to recruiter so comprehensive feedback. Asked a couple of coding questions and then resume. Then, a second phone call where again 2-3 coding questions and good feedback. The team really liked me and I was told that I have a really good chance of making it. Got an invite for onsite. Onsite got delayed for another 1.5 months which they called another restructuring and revisiting the headcount. I had already put a lot of effort into studying, preparing a presentation and waiting. I was all excited until I got on-site. First-round - Presentation. Gave it away. Not all people present. 2 listened thoroughly and 1 was on mobile playing some game I guess. He was not at all interested and that really demotivated me. 2 people did not even attend it. Second round - Coding question and design. All I know was I did excellent and interviewer also told the same that this is the best technique and I don't think we can do this better. Third round - QA questions and explained to him very well. He was happy and said I think you covered almost everything. At this point I was like, I am done with 2 out of 5 and it's going my way. Forth-Round - Wait! there is no fourth round. The interviewer came and said we are done and I don't think you are a fit. And showed me way out. I was like "WHAT!". Then realized the 3 interviews remaining were the same with the people who were not present. Really wastage of time. I always get the feeling where I underperform but I don't think they were even interested in hiring someone. Advice: Please don't waste the time of people. They fly and take time off from their current job to make it to interviews. At least show them some respect and respect the process with some professionalism. I think all the negative news and reviews make sense. I was an idiot to believe that people might write all that because they are upset but it seems a trend now with Tesla! Hope you guys don't waste the time and be aware!
