J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Teradata (North York, ON) en août 2018
Entretien
The interview was with an engineering manager who also happens to be the hiring manager for this office. He introduced the company and mentioned the company has offices worldwide. Then he made a subtle racist joke about one of the countries Teradata has offices in.
We went over my profile after. He said my past experience is "useless" because they do software engineering in a different area. Moving on, he asked to explain some of my projects. He'd ask some questions then laugh at my answers or mock my work and brag about what they do in comparison while never even allowing me to finish explaining.
He asked me some general technical questions afterwards. For coding questions, he kept talking very loudly and exchanging notes with his colleague throughout, creating an impossible environment to concentrate. This interviewer kept reading my code as I was writing and fired snide remarks whenever anything was not to his liking (ex. coding style). Majority of the questions weren't even related to the position and do not evaluate one's software engineering skills.
It went well. Asked questions on Java and SpringBoot and micro services. And also few DSA questions . Difficulty level is medium and the interviewer was good and patient . There are three rounds of interviews followed by hr round
I applied and was first contacted by HR with who I did a very high level interview to understand my profile. Then I actually had an interview with my future manager and was asked more technical questions and also questions linked to my motivation.
