If you interview, be prepared for an over the top process. I went through interviews with the following:
1) recruiter
2) hiring manager
3) hiring manager, again, where I was asked to prepare how I would approach their priorities for the upcoming year
4) executive #1
5) executive #2
6) executive #3
7) executive #4
8) peer #1
9) peer #2
10) executive panel, where I was asked to present a product marketing plan for the upcoming year
Ultimately I was not offered the role after 10 interviews. They decided to go with a candidate that was “more connected to their network.” Of note, when I was asked to present the product marketing plan to the panel, I asked that my work not be used in any way beyond the interview process and they were very weird about this request. I spent so much time preparing for the presentations requested of me during the process, and this was a waste of time. I finished the interview process in October and was not notified of their decision until end of December. Around Thanksgiving they notified me they would be deferring their decision, which is when I knew they were pursuing another candidate. I wish they would have either been more succinct with their process or just cut me loose earlier.
The only positive thing I can say about the process is that the recruiters were nice and were helpful.
