It was one of the worst phone contacts I have gotten in my job search. Just Rude. He asked me if I had a minute to talk and then proceeded to expect me to do a full phone interview. Asked me to tell him about myself. I said I was not in a position to do a phone interview. He got annoyed and said he asked me if I had a minute to talk and I had said yes - I politely told him that a minute is not a phone interview. He grumbled because I was right. I asked if I could call him back and he grumbled again and said he was probably going to fill the position. (then why even call me?) I tried to ask him a couple of questions about the job he said something I could not make out and he hung up on me. I was stunned. Only the owner of a company could be this rude and get away with it. Now I understand why I keep seeing them posting for CSR's who could stay there with someone like that in charge. I had applied before but never heard from them. This time instead of monster or career builder there was a posting on Craigslist that only had the town with no company name so until this guy called me I didn't even know what company I had submitted to. I did send a full resume with a detailed cover letter. So I was also surprised that he was going to make me repeat everything he had at his finger tips. When he asked me if I had a minute I thought he was going to tell me when and where to come in for an interview. Still stunned. If I know it is them I will not apply again. Hopefully in future they will at least put their name in their Craigslist Posts. My advice - avoid this company.
