      Entretien

WALK...NO RUN AWAY!!! THIS IS NOT A COMPANY YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH. They may trick you into thinking they're very home bodied and similar to Google, you'll find that they're anything but! Much like some of the job fairs and open houses you'll find locally, Techzilla pushed a large marketing campaign on all the job sites looking for talent in South Florida. If you applied to their ad you would get an auto reply message from Dan Hoffman (a 25+/- year old Corporate Recruiter for Elephant Group the parent company to; Saveology.com, Qology Direct, and Techzilla). Mr. Hoffman started this open house in March 2013 shortly after being hired on to Elephant Group (the same month he separated from his previous position as Recruiter for Aerotek Commercial Staffing). The email would instruct potential recruits to go to the HQ in Margate, FL and come prepared with Resume in hand! When you arrive, you enter a large glass entrance that had a very large parrot cage and random things around for decoration. The receptionist instructs you to her left into a small room with High-School-like desks to take a 6+/- page test to gauge your Windows, Mac, Android, and iPhone skills. Once you've completed the test, you'll be graded and immediately told -sorry, no such luck or come on back. From here you get to have a traditional interview. Dan will ask you questions that you may expect and inform you a little about the company and what they are expecting. He will ask you if what he's explained sounds like what you're looking for and if so may offer the position. In my case, he offered me a position 12 days from the interview date and we agreed that; if I could not make that date because I was moving and also scheduled to take a State Exam for a certification that; we would try to extend the start of training 1 week. Dan called me 5 days before the planned training and asked if I was going to be able to make it? I advised that I in fact needed 1 additional week if that was feasible and he said ok but, he's not sure when the next training will start. I said to Dan, I can make it but, I could really use the extra week to get things in order would this be alright? He said okay. That was the last I'd hear from him (at least by phone). I called and left 3 messages and wrote 2 emails to no avail. Although he continued to send me Open House invites to my inbox, he was unable to pick up a phone or write me back personally and for this reason I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! If you go to Techzilla.com, run your mouse over About, then click on 'Meet the Team' and read under 'Build Open & Honest Relationships', you'll find this exact paragraph: "Honesty leads to strong relationships built on trust. Techzilla agents act with integrity, compassion, and are excellent listeners. At the end of the day satisfying and delighting our customers is what matters to us the most." Where was the integrity, the compassion or the listening? I was very disappointed in the outcome because, I really wanted the position. I'm happy things worked out the way they did though. This experience shows me that there are still companies out there with revolving doors looking for so called talent when their management posses anything but.

I am not an iPhone user or a Mac user so, I had difficulties answering those questions.
