J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Teach for America (Los Angeles, CA) en mars 2012
Entretien
I applied online after hearing one of the recruiters come speak in one of my college classes. I submitted application and essay questions and then was had a phone interview and was invited to tour an elementary school in Los Angeles with a few other candidates applying for the program. Although I did not advance to a final interview and lesson plan, the process still was about 2 months for me from start to finish. Interview questions were typical, business-related, dry, formal generic questions. It was disappointing to not be asked more in-depth interview questions to unveil any personal passions or characteristics that would relate to the passion needed to be fulfilled in this type of a job.
The interview was relaxed and they were certainly there to help. They made it clear they would help you through the whole process of becoming a teacher with your own mentor guiding you.
