J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Target (Gainesville, FL) en oct. 2012

      Entretien

My first interview was over the phone. It was a pretty standard interview. The second interview was at the store with a manager. Overall the interviews were pretty easy, they just asked pretty basic questions, ranging from different types of customer-employee interactions and work ethic questions. It wasn't very intimidating.

The application was online. I was asked to choose up to 3 stores and up to 3 positions to apply for. Descriptions were provided. The process took about 2 weeks. I was not called until I had applied for the second set of 3 jobs. I had my phone interview and my on site interview the same day. I was on hold for 20 min while someone was found to interview me on the phone. I waited about half an hour to be interviewed. Someone told if I had not filled on a form on the computer next to the service center I had to do that first. He set me up on the computer but the computer said I was not supposed to fill anything else out. I had all ready done it all at home. I was told if I was chosen I would be notified within 2 days.

      Entretien

I submitted an online application and was called about a week later. The woman on the phone introduced herself as HR from my local store and asked me basic questions. She eventually offered me a phone interview that took place at the same time. It was basic situational questions that have all been mentioned on this website. At the end of the phone call she offered an in-store interview scheduled for two days later. I went into the store fifteen minutes early and waited in line at customer service, and the woman directed me to the in-store kiosk to finish a basic 20 question situational questionaire. Once I finished this in about five-ten minutes I sat in the chair and wasn't exactly sure if someone was going to come and get me or if I needed to go tell the woman I was finished. I decided to go back to customer service and get in line again and wait for the customers to finish up with her. She took me back through a few hallways and told me to go up the stairs and sit at the table up top. I was a little confused so I climbed the industrial-looking stairs and entered a large conference room with small offices branching off of it. I sat at the large conference table and waited for about ten minutes before a woman came and introduced herself as the woman who would be interviewing me. We went into her small office and went through a few company policies with me and seasonal hiring conditions before actually starting the interview. There were five situational questions and then two questions asking "What would you do in this situation?" All the questions have been mentioned on this site. She was very conversational and laid-back, which calmed my nerves a lot. She invited me to sit back down at the conference table while she went to go the HR person I had previously talked to on the phone. While I was waiting, she had me call a Tax Credit automated line and take a survey. After that, I still was waiting about 15-20 minutes before the HR woman came out and took me into her office. In there she basically offered me the job, going over seasonal hiring conditions and company guidelines again. I signed a form and she handed me information to go and get a drug test at a local medical clinic. She suggested going right after the interview, but it was already 3:10 PM and the clinic, which was located across town, closed at 4:00 PM. She told me that as long as the test was completed 24 hours after the job offer I would be okay, so I waited until the next morning. I was called today, a week after the interview, and was told that orientation is at 10 AM tomorrow. I was a little confused because I said on my availabilty I'm not available until 11 because I have class, but I fortunately worked it out with my professor. The man on the phone said to bring two forms of ID and to wear the target uniform. Overall it's been a good process!

      Question 1

If an item rang up at $19.99 and the guest insisted it was $17.99, what would you do? If a mother and son were looking for a certain pair of shoes and couldn't find them, what would you do?
