I applied online during the summer (Around July). I got a call the end of October asking if I would be willing to do seasonal although I applied as Part Time. I said yes because I need a job. The woman on the phone asked me a few questions about availability, why I wanted to work as cashier, and experience. She then asked if I would be willing to do a phone interview. I said yes and she set up a time for the next day. The next day another woman called, 20 minutes late, and asked me to confirm my availability. She too asked me why a cashier and what experience I had. She then went over the duties of a cashier. After that she asked me three "explain a time when..." questions. (explain a time when you made a mistake and had to fix it.) (explain a time when you went above what someone thought of you) (explain a time when you had to juggle multiple things). After that she asked me if I would like to come in and have a face to face interview. I said yes and she scheduled it for the next week. On the day of the interview I went in early and was called right away. They took me to a room where I watched a short video about my position (pay attention to it, some interview questions can be answered from the video) I sat down with one woman and she once again confirmed my availability and made me sign off on it. She also asked why target. She asked what experience I had, if any, that would help. Then she asked some situation questions. (What would you do if an item rung up 19.99 but the costumer says it was 17.99)(What would you do if there wasn't a shoe in the size a customer wanted it) She also asked me questions regarding what I learned from the video. There were more situation questions but I do not remember. She wrote down my answers in the booklet she has. After that she tells you about the position, Red cards, etc. After that she brought me to the Store Leader to talk to her. She just mostly wants to meet you. But once again she asks why a cashier, what experience, explains Red Cards and so on. After that I was offered the job. I was sent down to another woman to set up orientation, explain the pay, what to wear, and so on. They stopped doing drug test this year; so, I didn't have to go do that.
