      Entretien

Working for the company for more than 5 years, it truly is a great company to work for. The benefits and salary are competitive, the work environment is terrific, there is a TON of room for personal and professional growth, and Target is just a great company. They truly do take strides to ensure not only their guests are satisfied, but equally for their team members as well. For an Executive Team Leader (ETL) interview, you can expect these questions if you are a campus recruit, or recent college graduate. The interviews are a fun and challenging process, but you must be sure to answer is this format: What was the situation, what was the behavior (what did YOU do), and what was the end result? (If it wasn't positive, what did you learn, or try to have a positive spin.) Each of the three interviews is typically done with two individuals and a total of five formal questions, but they may ask some more. Build rapport with them in the beginning if you can, but don't force it. When the "do you have any questions for me" portion arrives, it's ok to not have any. Just make sure to not ask any question to which you already know the answer, or the "where do you see the retail market/Target in 10 years?" Keep away from the too broad questions, or ones that require way to much answer on their part. With respect to District and Group level leaders, the attention span gets shorter with each, so keep it short and sweet, but to the point. Typically, the fourth and final interview is with one or two individuals at the Group level, and it can be (and mostly is) done through a phone interview. Remember, you can't see their expressions or reactions, so be enthusiastic and make them want to talk to you! Tell me about a time when: You had to deliver difficult feedback (to a peer) Had to make a decision with a lot of information and a little amount of time Had to make a decision with very little information Had to deliver difficult feedback to a supervisor/superior (aka "challenged upward") Provided a non-popular viewpoint Had to rally a group of diverse people towards a common goal Had to assist a difficult coworker/guest? You had to teach a peer (and superior/supervisor) a new skill? Others: Tell me about yourself - REMEMBER, Target is Fast, Fun and Friendly, so embody these! Why do you want to work for Target? What do you bring to the table? Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years? What are some challenges you anticipate in a new position? Your strengths? Your developmental opportunities? What do your first 2 weeks/30 days look like in a new position (TEAM! The answer should revolve around getting to know the team and building partnerships and resources. You're welcome :) ) Global/total team situations are best (not just your desired area). Prepare, prepare, prepare!

It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
