I was contacted by a recruiter of the company, had a screening interview with questions mostly about my professional background, though my resume contains all the answers about technologies and projects i was working with, including periods of time. Some behavioral questions. Then a second interview, probably with hiring manager. All the same questions again. No technical questions at all. I got an impression, the guy didn't even saw my resume before the interview. Got rejected because of "background isn’t quite the fit we’re looking for". Really ? They could not start from reading my resume to make this decision without spending my and their time on two interviews ? Sometimes i don't understand, for whom, we, engineers, are writing all these resumes, cover letters. Probably if i'll replace the text with auto-generated "Lorem Ipsum", nobody going to notice any difference.
