The interview process began through a recruiter. I interviewed with the recruiter, then I was interviewed by a company HR representative. I had a 2nd interview with the hiring manager. At the time, my impression was of a company that was fairly middle-of-the-road in how they treated employees. The hiring manager appeared to have a whole lot of ideas on how to change his department. They did not appear to be entirely realistic. The job itself appeared (and I later found out this was true) to require a great deal of learning on various subjects like SQL, Windows server administration, and XML. After our discussion, the hiring manager took me out to meet those of my groups that were there, and show me the area. Within 2 days, I got the offer letter and accepted it, and started the next Monday.
