Took about 4 weeks quick phone call then an informal zoom call. Much better process than 3 years ago when I was interviewed and I had to chase 3 times to find out (as I had guessed already) the other candidate was successful. I found the bmw/mini recruitment/hr team professional as they signposted the process where as the JLR team came across as judgemental and that they had a cliche. I hope my experience of brand professionalism differences across the group was a one off.

4 interviews across an 8 week period. A total of 6 hours of my time spent interviewing for the role and I was finally offered the job. And I was so excited. Apparently I was by far the favourite candidate. As the salary offered differed to what was previously discussed, I wanted to take 24 hours to confirm my personal finances. I also had some bad family news and it was a very stressful few hours for me. As soon as I had mentally processed everything, I then accepted the offer and was awaiting the contract. I was then contacted after another 24 hours confirming the offer was withdrawn due to ‘taking too long to accept the position’. This is absolutely disgraceful and clearly I dodged a bullet here. This clearly showed to me that the company does not value their people. I would avoid wasting your time here.
