I applied online and received an email from a Specialty Recruiter asking me to explain and provide my experience as it relates to recruitment marketing. This was a bit odd to me because you can read my resume. I replied to the email and we coordinated a 30 minute phone interview the next day. Similar to the email, the Recruiter asked about my recruitment marketing experience, salary expectations (their range wasn’t competitive), and general questions. I was told my interview notes would be sent to the Hiring Manager for review and that the Recruiter would follow up with me. A few days later I received a generic email saying I wasn’t selected. Nice.
