      Entretien

I was referred by a current employee who talked up the company. I was super excited about starting something new, so I applied right away. HR reached out within a couple days to set up a phone interview, which was a week later. The interview went extremely well. I was told about the position and got to ask questions. This went very smoothly and I was totally impressed. I got offered a second interview via Zoom, which was shortly after the phone interview. I interviewed with 3 others and thought the experience went amazing. They asked some hard questions, but I made sure to have an answer ready. In return, I also stumped them a couple times with question about the position. I was so excited after the interview and couldn't wait to hear back. They informed me it would take a couple weeks to determine if I got the position or not, since they were hiring a lot of people at the time time. 2 weeks went by and I did not hear back. I followed up via email, which they got back to right away informing me it should be one more week. This went on for 2 months, which is 100% unacceptable. I was the one to follow up every week or every other, which showed me that their follow up was slacking. After about 2 months, I was speaking to the employee that referred me. She was also frustrated and ended up reaching out to HR. HR told her that they emailed me and informed me that I did not get the position (which is false). About an hour later I received an email stating that I did not get the job and apologized that I did not get the last email. I understand that emails do get lost, I work with emails all day myself, but I knew this was not the case since I emailed 2-3 times since our last encounter and did not get any answer. I followed up twice since then to check in and ask if there are any other openings that I would be suitable for, but I am still pending replies. From speaking to the current employee, what is the most frustrating is that if I was hired after my interview, I would have been up and running by now easily. I would be able to help them, as I know they are busy right now. I would not recommend interviewing for this company. The perks of the job were amazing, but their follow up is just not all there. Communication slacks, and at a time of working remotely, that is not ideal.

      Question 1

The interview was about 30 minutes or so, and more like a chat rather than an interview.
