J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Swiss Re en sept. 2024

      Entretien

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Swiss Re team. They all seemed very kind and offered many benefits to promote work-life balance for their employees. Their interview process does need improvements. In my first round, I interviewed with two people I'd be assisting and they shared it would not be a drawn-out process and the next interview would be the hiring manager who I'd be supporting. Mid-week after my final interview had been scheduled I received an unexpected invite to meet with HR for 15-minutes. I expected the call to be brief, discussing pay expectations, office expectations, and giving insight on the manager I'd be supporting. It was a 30-minute interview. After having my final interview and feeling quite confident at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday I was sent an e-mail from HR "that I was almost at the finish line" and needed to complete a one-page case study. This case study is tailored to the common task at Swiss Re but not the normal task of an Executive Assistant, it wasn't even listed as a task required in the job posting being, I received this late on a Friday and the assignment was due at 9:00 a.m. on Monday it left me no time to ask questions to strengthen my confidence in completing the assignment. In my 7+ years of being an EA, I have never been asked to do this type of task, and not that I am not competent enough to figure it out. Still, it would have been nice to speak with HR to get clarity on the expectations and style they were hoping for as again it is not a common skill or task normally required of an Executive Assistant. I hope this assists those seeking to apply. Speaking with the interviewers was a pleasurable experience and offered a more conversational style versus being drilled with the common "STAR" format. Hopefully, this will if anything help you be more prepared for the interview to land the gig :-)!
