The time between applying through Hays and actually getting a call from one of the stores was a couple of weeks.
After securing an interview with a store manager, it went smoothly. The manager and her assistant asked me to introduce myself, tell them about a time that was difficult to handle. They asked me to rate myself from 1-10 on different subjects, like how trustable I think I am or how well I take critique. We closed with a situation, where I had to take the role of the sales consultant to help a man (played by the assistant) looking for a gift for his wife.
In my case, I was confident in my success and the response arrived the next day. And then came another 2-week delay until the onboarding process was finalized.
The process was punctuated with a lot of waiting times but the people I met were always kind and wanted the best for me.

I was referred by a friend. They were very friendly, assistant manager was taking notes and her and the manager took turns in asking me questions. Simple questions, then told me to sell a collection to them in a roleplay scenario. Then asked some admin questions, as expected.
