      Entretien

This was an interesting interview for their Hiring Day event. I had to answer lifestyle-work related questions on a sheet of paper which took some time to answer. The rest of the interview was interesting because I talked with two different managers since it's a start-up company that is growing rapidly. They are understaffed and the managers have more than one role in the company and I talked to two of them for different departments. The two interviewed me accordingly but the second manager kept telling me I should go into the sales department and speak to another manager because of my background in sales. That was okay but I told both managers that I didn't necessarily want to focus on sales but more on the managing aspect of it, hence the position I applied for. I later find out from the second manager (who was in charge of HR) that Account Managing required experience when it said otherwise on the website. I instantly knew I wasn't going to get the job then because of their lack of information on the career section on their own website. I did learn a lot about the company though and I think what they are doing is intriguing. I definitely see a lot of potential for the company. Based on my conversation with the second manager, my advice would be for the company to keep their focus and excel on their primary area of business which is manufacturing before they start moving onto their big ambitions in order to establish and introduce the company brand to people all over the U.S./North America (and then the world). Overall, my impression was that they were unorganized, understaffed (just because it was at the administrative level), and scattered. I got good advice from it but I wasn't going to apply for the position they wanted me to and I feel like I wasted my time (more than one hour) for a position that required unspecified experience.
