The interviewing process is four steps. The first is a 20-minute phone call with an HR representative where we mostly discussed general qualifications with some personality based questions. It was generic and relatively easy. Next, I spoke with two engineers over the phone, and we essentially reviewed my resume and I answered classic questions about overcoming difficulties in projects, teamwork, etc. There were no strictly technical questions. The third round was an approximately 30-minute Gallup interview that was all personality based. There was no real way to prepare for it, I just answered honestly. The Gallup interview felt more relaxed because it was not with Stryker employees/the hiring team, and personal examples are welcome. About a week the third round, the HR representative informed me that the position had been offered to and accepted by another candidate. However, the team had liked the results of my Gallup interview, and she sent out the file of my interviews and recommendations to other teams within Stryker. The biggest downside of the interview process is the length of time. The last interview would have been an on-site interview at the Kalamazoo, MI office with several of the team members/managers.
