They took more than 3 months to give me an offer after the interview. I eventually realized I was a backup candidate because they kept checking in with me and switched up the locations. Once given an offer, I asked for an extension of a few days to decide. I thought this was reasonable because they had taken so long already. The manager verbally told me he’d “ask HR” and tried to guilt me into accepting. Instead of saying “no” he just did nothing then acted “surprised” when I didn’t accept by his deadline. Thankfully I had secured another offer by then. Good riddance.

Friendly interview, went over some of my relevant work experience. We also talked about hobbies and passive sources of income. It felt like casually meeting someone at a trade show or conference.
