My experience interviewing for the Territory Sales Manager role at Straumann was disappointing. I initially received a call from a recruiter to discuss the role. While the conversation covered the position, no information was provided about the interview process or what to expect in the next stages. The emails I received during the process also contained several spelling and grammatical errors. For a company of Straumann's size and reputation, I found this surprising and initially questioned whether the emails were genuine. A few days later, I received an automated email inviting me to book my next interview. I then interviewed with the National Manager and a member of the HR team. At the end of the interview, I was told they would discuss the candidates over the weekend and that I would hear back by Tuesday at the latest. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up—not even a rejection email. I sent a polite thank-you message after the interview expressing my appreciation for their time, but I received no response. I found this level of communication to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Candidates invest significant time preparing for interviews and deserve the courtesy of a response, especially when a clear timeline has been given. Prior to applying, I had heard negative comments from others about Straumann's company culture. While I can't speak for the organisation as a whole, my interview experience unfortunately reinforced those concerns. I felt that enthusiasm and positivity were not welcomed, and the dismissive attitude I experienced from the National Manager left a poor impression. Overall, the process lacked professionalism and basic candidate respect.
