One of the most disappointing interview processes I have ever had, and I was excited about interviewing at Steve Madden! Things were going well when the recruiter asked me if I was okay with having a direct report, which was not included in the job description. When I had the HM interview, I asked about it and her attitude changed for the worse as she curtly said that I was mistaken and that if a manager aspect was to happen, it wouldn't happen for several weeks/months into the role. After they gave me the reject email, my request for feedback was left unanswered since I wanted to confirm if that was or was not the reason I was passed on. Regardless, I wanted to confirm the reason anyway so that I could improve my skillset if needed. Very disappointing overall that there was clearly such a disconnect between the recruiter and the HM and it may have cost me this role.

I never received a response back after 4 interview calls. They took the job off of LinkedIn and never told me. I ended up being ghosted for the role after 2 months of interviewing.
