Intial Interview took place in October with regional manager, second interview didnt happen till December with area manager this time and a role play. They sighted people being on leave, training etc as the reasons for the large gap between interviews. After this round of interviewing was done a few weeks later I was asked to give an online test, results came back satisfactorily. They then asked for 2 references which were provided, the mangers went on leave again and the reference check wasnt completed until late January. After 3 months I was offered a role, however the letter of offer stipulated that they must complete a reference with current manager AFTER I resigned. When I told Stateplus that I wanted this check done prior to resigning they hesitated and felt that I was hiding something, when the references were completed another 3 weeks later after much back and forth I finally decided to decline the role as I found the entire recruitment process an absolute nightmare.
