Entretien
I went to a job fair at a hotel in Phoenix. Before going to the job fair I filled out an application online. I brought a cover letter and a resume with me to the job fair. I waited for about 30 minutes in a room with other applicants and they were playing State Farm commercials on a projector. I then met with a recruiter who asked me what I knew about State Farm and why I wanted to work there. After he reviewed my cover letter and resume with me he forwarded me to another recruiter. The second recruiter asked me a series of questions regarding sales and overcoming objections. She recommended that I go into customer service rather than sales. I told her that I only want to apply for sales because of my sales experience and success with other sales jobs. She walked me out and said I will be contacted regarding the next steps. I received an email which asked me to complete a personality assessment and skill assessment. A couple weeks after the assessments were completed I received a phone call with a job offer.
