Interview was done on video call. When the interviewer joined, he didn't show his face. I was there for the first round of interviews and told there would be a follow-up for if I was chosen or not for the second round which could then lead to a position. Just before starting the test questions, the interviewer mentioned that the questions should be straight-forward and easy, then went on to say that the other applicants he interviewed so far couldn't figure it out for some reason. The questions were opened through a messaged link and the screen was shared with the interviewer. You could type out your answer or just talk through what you would do. Whenever I got something wrong, he gave me feedback but it was quite blunt. When I'd say I was stuck, he would either remain silent or ask what I would Google in this scenario and then tack on, "You don't even know what you're stuck on but what would you search?" Throughout the whole interview, I could hear constant messages going off in the background as well. Overall, the interviewer was awkward and unprofessional. I'm confident I will not be chosen for the next round of interviews but I wouldn't want to attend anyway.
