Hi, Guillaume here -
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about your experience. We genuinely value transparency in our process, so I’d like to clarify a few points.
The strategic roadmap exercise is not about gathering ideas—we already have a well-defined vision. Instead, it’s designed to assess a candidate's understanding of our product space, customer needs, and their ability to think strategically and communicate both high-level and tactical product plans. I realize we could have better explained this upfront, and that’s something we’re improving.
Regarding scheduling, we aimed to include both co-founders early in the process to ensure alignment, which unfortunately made finding optimal times more challenging. We've since adjusted to offer more flexible options.
As for our size at the time and the need for this role: per the rationale given during our initial call, hiring a PM was a deliberate move to prepare for our next stage of growth. A great PM plays a crucial role in scaling effectively, and we believe in being proactive in building a strong foundation for StackOne's future.
Thank you for the feedback, it helps us continuously improve and refine our hiring process. I wish you the best in your future endeavours.
Kind regards,
Guillaume
