I had a great initial interview with Marlys, who reached out to me to schedule the interview via text. My first interview was with her and Ashton, then we toured the SRM shelter. My next interview was with Marlys, the interim CEO, the Director of Donor Relations, and Cameron. I thought this interview went very well, and was told they would get in touch with my by that Friday. Come Saturday, I message Marlys, who says she is "sick," and will let me know their decision "early next week." I tried to reach out again when she neglected to reach out, but she ignored my messages. I am honestly taken aback that an organization that calls themselves Christian can treat potential hires with such disdain and neglect. I count myself blessed that God closed this door. I should also mention interim CEO was around 10 minutes late to my interview, and could seemingly not stop cracking jokes to his buddies for the first 10 minutes of my interview.
