Five interviews, ~45 minutes each. The process was overly engineered and overly mechanical. Each interviewer had a list of canned questions and very little real dialogue. For a role with a stated $160K–$200K range, I expected a more thoughtful assessment. Instead, the interviewers didn’t seem prepared to evaluate my background, and I left feeling the process was more about checking boxes than understanding fit. Cut the rounds, stop repeating scripted prompts, and use structured, role-relevant case questions. If you’re hiring for federal health/CMS work, ensure interviewers have enough domain context to assess experience appropriately.
