J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Splunk
Entretien
Applied online and I had my round 1 technical interview setup within a week. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to reschedule it couple of days before the interview. The HR was really responsive in rescheduling it within a few hours. The interview was good, it felt like pair programming a bit and not like a Q&A session. At the end, the interviewer was kind enough to let me know to contact him if the recruiter doesn't reach out within a few days. And it happened exactly as the interviewer said. I reached out to the HR and the interviewer with a follow up after 3-4 days of radio silence. Even after two weeks of my interview I was still waiting to hear back from Splunk. I might have failed that round, or the recruiter has 'x' other candidates that they want to go through for round 1 and then make a call. But regardless of what it is, there should be some decency in updating the candidate of the result or let them know of a timeline. A minimal level of professionalism is expected here. It's not what you do, but how you do it is what interviews focus on. Shouldn't that be applicable to the company as well? I assume I have been rejected. I viewed Splunk as my dream job because of their products. But going forward, at any state in my career I will probably not consider them mainly because of how they handled things.
