Entretien
First step was a phone screen with HR. A week later there was a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then I was called in for an interview which was a panel interview. The questions are pretty basic (STAR questions). Each interviewer gets to ask 2 or more questions. It took about 2 weeks to get the offer. Then about 2-3 weeks for background check and drug test, then another 2 weeks for notifying my employer at that time.

6 basic behavorial questions not very technical. not the best way to assess a candidate in my opinion. not good at giving feedback they give very generic responses and then there is no follow up.

The firm had one round of behavioral and technical questions. It was a panel-round interview. The firm was looking for a candidate who has some expertise in Power systems, and technical.

Entretien
I had a recruiter or perhaps it was a hiring manager reach out asking if I would like to come in for an interview. I told him I’m not interested and before I finished he hung up. Talk about professionalism, it seems like the Southern Company lacks it. Huge red flag
