      Entretien

I had a phone interview first with the CEO and it went well. He was enthusiastic, warm, asked a fair amount of questions about my experience/goals & at the end he asked me to come in in person. I immediately said yes & agreed to interview in-person at the Boston office. I wasn't sent any details about who I was interviewing with in-person or how long the interview might be. When I got there, I was met in the lobby by a Fashion Editor. I interviewed with her first -- she asked questions that were not job or experience specific -- they were pretty much just generic interview questions. Her questions were very brief--it only lasted probably five minutes--but she stated that the CEO would be in after & would be asking more job specific questions of me. However, when he came in, he just asked about my commute & the weather then stared at me and said he didn't have any questions. He said he had "covered everything" on the phone and had just wanted see me in person. He just continued to stare at me and my resumé and was just generally make me feel uncomfortable & anxious. He was extremely cold, rude and entirely unfriendly -- extremely different from the phone interview. He asked if I had any questions but after I asked two he made it clear that we were finished, his answers were curt, clipped and he seemed genuinely annoyed that I'd asked anything at all. He said he would be sending me a more detailed application for me to fill out via email. After leaving, I emailed him to briefly thank him for his time but he never responded with the application and never reached out again to say that I wasn't selected. It seemed as if something happened between the phone interview & the in-person interview and he had already decided I wasn't going to be considered further for the position before meeting me. He shared with me that I was the first interview so I'm assuming it wasn't that they found another candidate. The interview just felt like the biggest sham--it was clear I wasn't getting the position -- the first interviewer barely spent any time trying to get to know me and the CEO didn't ask a single question. I just can't believe that they really wasted my time like that. Of course, I've since read the reviews here and have come to find out that I probably would not have wanted this job -- most reviews mention the CEO directly & say exactly what I experienced, that he is rude, arrogant, and purposely makes people feel uncomfortable. I'm just not sure why he felt the need to make me come all the way into the office just to make me sit and be stared at for two minutes. It's SO unprofessional to conduct yourself in this manner. This is legitimately the worst interview experience I've ever had strictly because of how rude & unprofessional it was. If you're no longer considering a candidate, either cancel the interview or act professionally and interview the candidate as planned.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Q : CEO didn't ask anything. The woman who spoke with me first asked a few generic interview questions, including if you were animal what would you be & why.
