They asked me what I’m currently on and what my salary expectations would be. They wanted an inclusive number (with their equity plan). When I asked what their equity plan was, they told me the they can’t disclose it until later but they still wanted a number from me to which I provided one based off a 10k AUD buffer. They then proceeded to put me through 5 rounds of interviews, offered me the job but got a low ball offer. What’s the point of interviewing someone when you know what their current base salary is only to offer them less. Not in this cost of living crisis. (Starting equity is 24k USD over 3 years so 8k USD every year with no cash bonuses). They waisted their time and my time

Entretien
The interview process started with a recruiter call and then followed with 5 interviews, two of which were a mini-loop and a language assessment. The process was very smooth and the Director interview was probably the most interesting and untraditional one I had in my career; although it was challenging but I loved it.

I interviewed for Snap inc in London, UK. Extremely long process (around 2 months) and I was constantly asking for updates and was ghosted a bit. However, the interviewers and recruitment team were very friendly and welcoming. The interviews were relatively easy and the team were extremely enthusiastic about me. I was made to feel like I actually was going to get the job and then I got a rejection email after asking yet again for an update. I asked for any final feedback but was ghosted again. Was a shame
