The interview is made to feel serious and presented in a way that makes it somewhat ambiguous what the job is. Its sold to you as an opportunity to become a business owner. Its just a sales gig. I didn't see anyone rise above the level of sales associate the entire time I worked there, despite the hype about "building your future" which is really just building their future.
I realized after I was hired that these people would hire a homeless person or a highschool senior, the entire process was a sham to make you feel like you're getting in on something big. They oversold how well the company was doing, the number of offices, the capabilities of the management, and the likelihood you would ever really get beyond just being a sales associate.
