J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Sky (Londres, Angleterre) en mars 2023
Entretien
I was invited to interview on a day's notice, which I explained was not enough time to prepare, and negotiated an interview a few days later. The process felt misguided and the job description against which I had prepared was revealed in the interview to be a generic one. This caused a couple of issues, including that 1) the job title mentioned in the interview was slightly different than that which was on the application, and 2) questions I had prepared to answer / ask based on the job description became irrelevant once the panel confirmed it was not particularly specific to the role. The questions were still fair and appropriate, but things could have been smoother if the job advert/description was properly synchronised with the actual role. Although I made it through to the next task-based round, I withdrew because the size of the task did not feel appropriate for a second round interview. There were four parts to the task, which were not insignificant, and would have occupied far too much time to complete to a satisfactory standard which could then be presented in an interview. Ultimately the business pushing to interview so quickly, publishing a non-specific job description and asking too much of a candidate to prove their skills was off-putting and caused me to abandon the process partway through.
