Applied online. Received call from BSkyB. Did Telephone interview. Lots of questions about how I would approach difficult situations such as managing underperformance. Interviewer stuck to this theme throughout. Subsequently invited to group discussion with two other candidates who were applying for same position. BSkyB HR team were cold and matter of fact. There were 4 scenarios revolving around how you would approach typical people issues such as lateness, underperformance and management styles. I was successful here as I was invited to FINAL interview at same venue. The last part was role play. The HR person played a really awkward and difficult person overacting and in my view totally inconsistent with reality. The tone of the role play session in my view set me up to fail from the outset. No matter which way I went to deal with the issues the HR person threw at me didnt seem to invoke any positive reaction. The entire experience was nothing shirt of a bulldozing experience from start to finish. I felt very upset leaving the building and I would never like to be handled in that way again. Appalling!!!
