Where do I begin with my train wreck of an interview?
Firstly, before the interview even started I was made to wait at least 10 minutes in a small dingy room for the interviewers to actually get up from their chair and their chit chat with themselves to actually start to interview me.
Once the interview started, the vibe I got from the interviewers was off from the start. They asked me to tell them about myself and my previous experiences and I proceeded to do that. As I am talking about my past experiences, they began to talk over me and interrupt me middle of my answer and even started to criticise the previous companies that I was working for and how they would do things differently. I thought this was strange as this interview was meant to be about me and not their opinion on another companies strategy.
As the interview went along, one of them again rudely interrupted and said that my answer was too long and that they could of summarised what I could of said in 2 minutes even though in previous interviews before this, talking about my experiences in details has never been a problem and they actually preferred me to go into depth on my previous experiences. They went on to judge me and say that I wouldn’t be fit enough to do their job because I spoke too long in their view and the clients I used to deal with before are not “property developers/builders” (whatever that means).
From this point, I knew this interview was a disaster and I just wanted to get out of there but nonetheless I proceeded with things. In addition to this, whilst speaking about what I would do to sell their product, the interviewer interrupted and said I think we are done and that was the interview concluded.
In hindsight, looking back on it I feel like they have already chose their candidate before I arrived and this interview was just a formality for them. They gave me the impression that I was taking time out of their day and this interview was a nuisance for them. I am not one to write reviews but I felt so shocked after this interview that I just had to let future candidates know how shocking and unprofessional this company is.
