Internal recruiter contact, screening call with Recruiter, call w VP sales, call w second VP, call with another rep, invite to HQ, all day interviews at HQ with many groups, gave a sample presentation, reference checking, background checking, call with legal, offer letter, new hire paperwork, acceptance of all, started 48 hours later in SFO office for the first week.
Most of my interviews were very conversational, but I did hear from other new hires later that MemSQL has very high standards, and does tough testing of technical people. The SDR on my team has a masters from Stanford. The engineers are the top from their ivy league schools. I have a technical background so maybe this came through and they didn't need to test formally test me. If you like to be around very smart people, you will love MemSQL. Social, nice, fun people but smart smart smart. The office has all the Valley perks, but is in a killer SF location. It may be the best ratio of live/work out there if you want to live in the city.
