The focus seemed more on questioning past job transitions rather than providing insights into the company and its work culture—especially surprising for a senior-level role. Additionally, there was a lack of transparency regarding the salary range; instead of sharing a range upfront, I was asked for my expectations, and after providing them, it became clear that my application would not move forward.
Overall, the experience felt like a waste of time.

Overall: My experience interviewing for the visual designer position at Simplotel was unfortunately disappointing due to unprofessional communication and a lack of respect for candidate time.
Positives:
The initial design assignment was interesting and gave me a good opportunity to showcase my skills.
The HR interview was pleasant and informative. I learned more about the company culture and the internship role.
Negatives:
Delays in communication: After the HR interview, I was told I would hear about the next round (assignment discussion with the design manager) within the next day. However, I received no response for 2-3 days and had to follow up multiple times before finally receiving a generic rejection email.
Unprofessional rejection: The final rejection email was impersonal and offered no specific feedback on my candidacy. It simply stated that they had a "competitive pool" and couldn't advance me further.
Time wasted: The lack of communication and delayed response made me feel like my time and effort were not valued.
Conclusion: While I appreciate the opportunity to interview with Simplotel, the unprofessional communication throughout the process left a negative impression. I would advise other candidates to be aware of potential delays and lack of transparency during the interview process.
